Make Space
Make Space is a fun and welcoming drop-in studio space where people of all ages can come together to create and make things. The space is open every weekend and during East Sussex school holidays, and is free to attend. Visitors can drop in between 10am and 4:30pm to take part in creative activities using simple materials, images, prompts, and audio. They can also bring their own projects to work on. The space is designed to be relaxed and fun, with a carpeted soft area for babies and toddlers, as well as tables and chairs for making. Make Space is located in Studio 2 on the first floor of the Towner Eastbourne building, which is accessible by lift. There are toilets on the first floor, as well as additional accessible toilets on the second floor and ground floor. Packed lunches, snacks, and drinks are welcome in the space. Everyone is welcome at Make Space, and visitors are expected to follow the Towner's Code of Conduct.
