On the longest night of the year, join Elena Blank for an intimate evening of live sound surrounded by the Edge: Where the Land Meets the Sea exhibition. In the atmospheric setting of the gallery, participants will settle into the darkness together for a deeply immersive sound experience with Alchemy Crystal Singing Bowls, gong, rain sticks, and other acoustic instruments, creating a shifting soundscape of harmonics, vibration, and deep listening within. The session will begin with a brief check-in with body and breath, easing the nervous system into regulation before the alchemy of sound envelopes the space. The session will conclude with time for rest and integration. No previous experience is needed. Participants are invited to bring a yoga mat or something comfortable to lie on, a blanket, cushion, and eye pillow for warmth and support, bottled water, and wear comfortable, warm clothing. Sound baths are generally safe for most people but are not recommended for anyone in the first trimester of pregnancy, people with sound-induced epilepsy, those with severe or clinical mental health conditions, those with a severe heart condition, or with electrical implants in the body, like a pacemaker.
