Hastings Contemporary has several community projects, including Pearls of the Sea, a flagship schools programme that gives local children the opportunity to respond to modern and contemporary artworks and explore their creativity. The programme culminates in an annual exhibition at Hastings Contemporary. The Cove is a collaborative project between Hastings Contemporary and The St Leonards Academy, which gives SEND students the opportunity to work towards achieving an Arts Award. Drawing Life provides free, artist-led art sessions for carers and the people they care for. The partnership with Little Gate creates opportunities for trainees with learning disabilities and autism to engage with contemporary art and explore careers in the cultural sector.
