Jan/Feb Monday evening pottery course

This 6-week pottery course is suitable for all levels and takes place on Monday evenings from 7:00-9:30pm. The course is held in a small loft studio in central Brighton, with a maximum of seven people and lots of one-to-one tuition. Beginners will learn the fundamental principles of hand-building, including pinch pots, coiling techniques, and the use of soft and hard slabs. More experienced potters can bring their own project ideas and receive support to make them a reality. The course price includes use of clay, glazes, underglazes, and slips, but firing costs are charged at £1 per 100g of finished work. Each student can book one catch-up class per term. An optional extra throwing session is available in the 7th week for an additional £40.
