Gusbourne WSET Level 1 Course 2026

This is wine education with a difference. You’ll study for your WSET Level 1 in the place where wine is made – our Kent vineyards and winery. You’ll dine with our ambassadors, enjoy curated tastings, and see theory brought vividly to life. The formal course and exam take place in relaxed, expert-led sessions at the estate. You can view the full itinerary here. WSET Level 1 is designed for individuals new to wine study. It’s an industry-recognised qualification, which provides a hands-on introduction to the world of wine. You’ll explore the main types and styles of wine through sight, smell and taste, while also gaining the basic skills to describe wines accurately and make food and wine pairings. Upon successful completion, you will receive a WSET certificate and lapel pin. The day includes bacon rolls, teas and coffees on arrival, a light vineyard lunch, the full WSET Level 1 course, exam and certification, a winery experience, and a three-course dinner served with Gusbourne wines.
