Funny Rabbit: Peter Brush (picture: Gulbenkian Arts Centre)

Gulbenkian's monthly comedy club - radical and exciting, but also warm and snuggle as a bunny rabbit. Headliner: Peter Brush. A highly distinctive performer and deft writer of finely crafted jokes, Peter Brush unassumingly takes the stage with his slight bespectacled frame and scruffy hair, before consummately conquering it with an arsenal of razor sharp quirky one-liners and peerlessly original routines, all delivered in an amusingly awkward fashion. Peter performs at all the major clubs across the UK, as well as having done many of its biggest festivals, he has also played shows in Switzerland, Norway and Hungary. Formerly a BBC New Comedy Award finalist, he has written for several BBC Radio 4 shows and was the support act for Alexei Sayle’s most recent tour. Other acts he has supported on tour include Jason Manford, Fern Brady, Jonathan Pie, Geoff Norcott, Arthur Smith and Paul Sinha. Opener: Holly Hudson. Holly Hudson came up on the London circuit and has since performed at Laugh Factory Chicago, Second City, and Zanies. Originally from the Midwest, now based between London, Paris, and LA, she does sharp, politically charged comedy about midlife, Americans abroad, and the slow-motion implosion of the American experiment — and has built a 325K platform with 70M+ viral views doing exactly that.
