Handbuilding Pottery Course

Are you looking to try your hand at pottery or improve your existing skills? This six-week course, starting on Wednesday, 6 January 2027, at Hot Fox Pottery in Brighton, is the perfect opportunity to do so. The course will introduce you to fundamental principles of hand-building, including pinch pots, coiling techniques, and the use of soft and hard slabs.

With classes limited to seven people, you'll receive plenty of one-to-one tuition, allowing you to learn and grow at your own pace. You'll also have the chance to experiment with a range of glazes and decoration techniques, giving you the freedom to express your creativity. For those with some pottery experience, the course offers the opportunity to work on individual projects, helping you to refine your skills and explore new ideas.

The course takes place every Wednesday evening until Wednesday, 10 February 2027, and tickets are available with the button beside this article. With the course price including use of clay, glazes, underglazes, and slips, you'll have everything you need to get started, and you can even book one catch-up class per term if you need to miss a session.
