Magical Doors Ajar

What if a door in your home could transport you to a fantastical world, where dinosaurs roam or talking plants whisper secrets? This intriguing notion is the starting point for Art Sundays: Magical Doorway, a creative workshop where participants can craft their own miniature magical doorway. With an array of colourful paper and drawing materials at their disposal, attendees will be guided by an artist to design, decorate, and build a little door that opens into a world of their own imagination.

The workshop takes inspiration from Prem Sahib's sculpture, A Passing, currently on display in the De La Warr Pavilion's ground floor gallery. This exhibition, Chamber, showcases Sahib's work, and the Magical Doorway workshop offers a unique opportunity to engage with his art in a hands-on way.

On Sunday, 8 November 2026, the De La Warr Pavilion in Bexhill-on-Sea will host Art Sundays: Magical Doorway, a free drop-in creative workshop open to all ages. Tickets are with the button beside the article.
