Art Sundays: Magical Doorway

Ever wondered where a secret door might lead? A bedroom wardrobe opening onto an enchanted forest? A kitchen back door leading straight to the moon? Or perhaps a tiny doorway into a world inhabited by dinosaurs, monsters or talking plants?

Inspired by A Passing, a sculpture by Prem Sahib in his exhibition Chamber, now on display in our ground floor gallery, come and create your very own miniature magical doorway! With plenty of colourful paper, drawing materials and an easy-to-follow instruction sheet, you’ll design, decorate and build a little door that opens into a world of your own imagination.

So come along, get creative and see where your doorway takes you. Anything is possible on the other side!

Art Sundays are free drop-in creative workshops that take place on the first and third Sunday of every month, open to all ages.

Each week, the workshops will be led by an artist taking inspiration from our exhibitions or events programme.

We look forward to seeing you there.

Art Sundays have been kindly supported by the Isabel Blackman foundation.
