Bastille Hits Margate

Bastille's latest album, 'Give Me The Future', is a tribute to humanity in a tech age, reflecting on the strangeness of living through times that can feel like science fiction. This album explores both the opportunities of new technology and the dark side of lives lived online, making it a thought-provoking and dancefloor-friendly record.

The band, formed in 2010 by lead singer Dan Smith, has undergone significant growth since its inception as a solo project. Keyboardist Kyle Simmons, bassist and guitarist Will Farquarson, and drummer Chris "Woody" Wood later joined Smith, completing the lineup. With their debut album 'Bad Blood' reaching number one in the UK in 2013, and their subsequent albums 'Wild World' and 'Doom Days' achieving similar success, Bastille has established themselves as a prominent force in the indie pop scene.

Bastille will be performing at Where Else? in Margate on Tuesday, 3 November 2026. Tickets are with the button beside the article. Their music is a unique blend of pop, synth-pop, and cinematic sampling, often built around mixtapes that draw on film and television clips, making for an exciting and unpredictable live experience.
