Join The Undertones 50th Anniversary Celebration
The Undertones are marking a major milestone with a UK tour, and their Brighton show is not to be missed. With a setlist packed with classic tracks and iconic guitar pop hits, this is a chance to see a legendary band in action.
Catchy punk and power-pop sounds are set to fill the air as The Undertones celebrate their 50th anniversary with an extensive UK tour. The Undertones are a rock band from Derry, Northern Ireland, formed in 1974 by five original members: Feargal Sharkey, John and Damian O'Neill, Michael Bradley, and Billy Doherty.
• The band's debut single, 'Teenage Kicks', was recorded in 1978 and became a favourite of BBC Radio 1 DJ John Peel, who considered it his all-time favourite song. • Their self-titled debut album, released in 1979, was followed by several successful albums, including Hypnotised and Positive Touch, which peaked at number 6 and 17 in the UK Albums Chart, respectively. • The Undertones' songs focused on adolescence and heartbreak, rather than the political climate of Northern Ireland, and produced hits such as 'My Perfect Cousin', which reached number 9 in the UK.
The Undertones will be joined by special guests Ruts DC at their Brighton show, which takes place on Saturday, 21 November 2026, at CHALK in Brighton. Tickets are with the button beside the article.
