The Undertones: 50th Anniversary Show

The Undertones are celebrating their 50th band anniversary with an extensive UK tour. They emerged from Derry, Northern Ireland in 1976 and learned to play basic rock and roll by listening to mail order records and John Peel's show on BBC Radio One. The band recorded 'Teenage Kicks' in 1978, which was played twice in a row on John Peel's radio show. The Undertones will present a set of classic tracks and iconic guitar pop hits, including 'Get Over You', 'Jimmy Jimmy', 'My Perfect Cousin', 'You’ve Got My Number', 'Julie Ocean', 'Wednesday Week', and 'Teenage Kicks'. They will be joined by special guests Ruts DC, who were formed in 1981 by the rhythm section and guitarist of The Ruts. The Ruts had three whirlwind years of success and critical acclaim, with releases including 'Babylons Burning', 'Jah War', 'Something That I Said', and 'Staring At The Rude Boys'.
