ME REX In-Store Performance

Are you familiar with the British indie rock band ME REX, formed in London in 2015 by songwriter Myles McCabe? The band started as a solo project, with McCabe self-releasing six EPs between 2015 and 2018, each named after a dinosaur or prehistoric mammal. In 2019, McCabe formed a full band with Kathryn Woods, Rich Mandell, and Phoebe Cross, although Woods has since left the group.

ME REX is known for their eclectic music style, which combines elements of indie rock, emo, and indie pop. Their debut full-length album, Giant Elk, was released in October 2023 via Big Scary Monsters, and their double EP Pterodactyl/Plesiosaur features catchy choruses, snappy rhythms, and fuzzed-out guitars and keys. The band has also released several other EPs, including Smilodon and Plesiosaur, as well as singles like Goodbye Forever and Protection Runes.

On Sunday, 1 November 2026, ME REX will be performing a stripped back acoustic in-store performance and signing at Where Else? in Margate, in celebration of their new EP 'Pterodactyl/Plesiosaur'. Physical copies of the record can be collected on the day. Tickets are with the button beside the article.
