Courting Call

Are you ready to experience a band that seamlessly blends indie rock with references to car parks, sports, and British pub culture? Courting, a four-piece from Liverpool, has been making waves in the music scene since their formation in 2018. The band consists of lead vocalist and guitarist Sean Murphy-O'Neill, drummer Sean Thomas, guitarist Joshua Cope, and bassist Connor McCann.

With three albums and one EP under their belt, Courting has showcased their versatility in creating music that is both big and catchy, as well as experimental. Their songs often reference everyday life, making their music relatable and engaging. From their debut album Guitar Music to their latest release Lust for Life, Or, Courting has consistently pushed the boundaries of their sound.

As a band, Courting has been praised for their unique blend of post-punk and hyperpop, with NME describing their debut album as a "raucously fun debut" and their Reading Festival performance as a "new, mega-exciting rock movement". With their music moving between compact indie-pop, industrial electronic-rock, and theatrical melody, Courting is a band that will keep you on your toes.

On Saturday, 7 November 2026, Courting will be performing at Where Else? in Margate, and it's an event you won't want to overlook - tickets are with the button beside the article.
