Bristol Band Make Friends Come to Tunbridge Wells
Make Friends, a Bristol-based indie band, are set to perform at The Forum Live Music Venue in Tunbridge Wells, bringing their unique sound to the stage. With a string of successful EPs and singles, they are making a name for themselves in the UK indie scene.

Are you familiar with the Bristol-based indie band Make Friends, who have been making waves in the UK music scene with their energetic and melodic sound? The band, consisting of Tom Andrew, David Thomas, Connor Crabb, and Max Lewin, formed while studying in Bath, but it was after moving to Bristol that they found their sound and began working with producer Peter Sené.
Make Friends' music is a fresh take on modern indie music, drawing inspiration from the indie-dance-punk of early era Foals and the melodic alt-pop of Bombay Bicycle Club. Their debut EP 'Hi' earned them support from BBC Introducing, Radio X, and Amazing Radio, and led to a performance at Maida Vale Studios. Since then, they have released a string of successful singles, including 'Ellie', which has passed 2.5 million Spotify streams, and 'Falter', which was featured as a Record of the Day in 2023.
The band's lyrics, largely written during lockdown, tackle themes of isolation and mental health, and their music has been compared to that of Everything Everything, Phoenix, and MGMT. With the help of Ed Nash from Bombay Bicycle Club, who has co-produced and co-written many of their tracks, Make Friends have solidified their presence in the UK indie scene. Their 'Loaded Fun' EP, released in 2024, was a critical success, and they are now planning a UK headline tour in November 2026 and a debut album in 2027.
Make Friends will be performing at The Forum Live Music Venue in Tunbridge Wells on Saturday, 14 November 2026. Tickets are with the button beside the article. The band will be supported by Polo Lounge, an indie rock band from Southeast Kent, known for their infectious guitar hooks and high-energy live shows.
With their unique sound and thought-provoking lyrics, Make Friends are a band to watch out for in the UK indie scene. Their upcoming performance in Tunbridge Wells is a great opportunity to experience their music live and see what all the fuss is about.
