Eastbourne's Towner Hosts Wriggle Room
A free programme of creative sessions for under-5s and their caregivers, featuring art, stories and sensory play. The sessions offer a unique opportunity for child-caregiver collaboration and socialisation.

On Tuesday, 3 November 2026, the Towner in Eastbourne will host Wriggle Room, a free programme designed for under-5s and their caregivers. Developed by artists in collaboration with Towner's Learning team, the programme features a range of fun and creative sessions, including crafting activities, story-time, and sensory play. These sessions aim to encourage collaboration between children and their caregivers, while also providing a space for open-ended play and creativity.
The programme is not only focused on creative activities but also serves as a social space where caregivers can meet and chat, and under-5s can develop essential social skills. To ensure a comfortable and accessible experience, Towner has step-free access, spaces available for buggies, a baby-change facility, and a cafe on the ground floor. A sensory space is also available, specifically designed for younger babies and crawlers.
For those interested in attending, tickets can be booked in advance to secure priority access and help with planning. Caregivers are required to stay with their dependents for the duration of the session. To find out more and book tickets, details are available with the button beside this article.
