Ezra Furman Rocks Brighton

Ezra Furman hails from Chicago, Illinois, where she was born in 1986, and began her music career as the lead singer and guitarist of Ezra Furman and the Harpoons, formed at Tufts University in 2006. The band released four albums before splitting in 2011, after which she embarked on a solo career. Her solo work has been marked by a series of innovative and critically-acclaimed albums, including Perpetual Motion People, Transangelic Exodus, and Twelve Nudes.

Furman's music is a vibrant blend of punk energy, heartfelt lyricism, and genre-defying innovation, making her one of the most compelling voices in modern music. Her albums have explored themes of identity, anger, and queer liberation, showcasing her extraordinary talent and artistic evolution. From the raw, punk-fueled catharsis of Twelve Nudes to the cinematic and deeply moving exploration of queer liberation in All of Us Flames, Furman's music is both deeply personal and universally resonant.

On Wednesday, 28 October 2026, Ezra Furman will be performing at the Brighton Dome in Brighton, with support from Dana Margolin.
