Yalla Miku was formed by Cyril Yeterian and Cyril Bondi, who teamed up with Hyperculte, a minimalist electro-pop duo. The group's line-up includes Samuel Ades on krar and vocals, Emma Soucharce on synths, and Louise Knobil on bass. Their music is a mix of haunting ethio-jazz scales and krar riffs with elements of house, electronica, and alt-pop-krautrock groove. The result is a testament to the community-led, punk approach of the Bongo Joe Record label. The group's sound is experimental and eclectic, blending different styles and influences.
