Fruit Bowl: Painting, Cracked Lime, Lulu

Painting is a Berlin trio whose music is a breathlessly unpredictable collision of punk energy, math-rock time signatures, techno beats, free-jazz sax solos, blaring synthesisers and tumbling call-and-response vocals. Their second album, Snapshot Of Pure Attention, was released on April 11 2025. Cracked Lime are a London-based duo who make interesting, fun yet moody tracks, and have played shows at various venues in London. Lulu is a favourite at the Fabulous HQ, with a sound that takes from trip hop artists and is simultaneously original. Her music is ghostly, beautiful and strange, and is sure to haunt listeners.
Painting's music is likened to that of Late of the Pier, CSS, and Klaxons. Cracked Lime's sound is similar to that of Working Mens Club, New Order, and Suicide. Lulu's music is comparable to that of Portishead, Tricky, and Bjork.
The three acts are set to perform at Where Else? in Margate, with Painting's unpredictable energy, Cracked Lime's moody tracks, and Lulu's haunting sound sure to make for a compelling show.
