The Fiery Lights + English Sporting Defeat

The Fiery Lights write songs that tell stories, set over a backdrop of alt rock guitars, pounding drums and a sprinkling of electronic magic. The band formed after meeting via an ad in their local record store and quickly got to work recording and releasing their album “1982”. With a new album due early in 2027, The Fiery Lights have plenty more stories to tell. Formed in 2011, English Sporting Defeat return after a 13-year hiatus, following their live comeback on the L&L/Sussex Unfest stage in May. Their set blends material from the band’s Denmark Street residency days with new songs, delivered with a heavier, rawer and more stripped-back sound.
