The Sussex Is Doomed IV - The Grey

The Sussex is Doomed bring together the UK's filthiest, noisiest, and heaviest doom, sludge and stoner bands. The Grey make largely instrumental music that weighs down like few others, marrying the pummelling feel of a band like Neurosis or Karma To Burn to big themes with striking nuance and colour. The Grey have shared stages with heavyweights like Will Haven and Conjurer, and have performed at festivals including Download and Bloodstock. Okay You Win is a four-pieced heavy rock band from London, built on heavy riffs and soaring vocals, drawing on influences from Seattle Grunge and Californian Desert Rock. Cruel Mother is a doom metal band from East London, taking lyrical inspiration from English printed broadsides and the folk song corpus, mixing heavy riffs with the melancholic lament of the fiddle. Matter is a collision of doom, post-metal and sludge, with growling bass and cathartic vocals. The event features The Grey, Okay You Win, Cruel Mother, and Matter.
