Stockhausen Festival: Stockhausen on film

The event features two films: Tuning In, a portrait of Stockhausen, and In Absentia, a collaboration between the filmmakers Brothers Quay and composer Karlheinz Stockhausen. In Absentia combines intense images with pure electronic music. Tuning In is a vivid portrait of Stockhausen, featuring interviews with the composer and scenes of him at work.

The Stockhausen Festival is co-curated by ACCA and the Department of Music, University of Sussex.
