Soil and Sea Supper Club

Join artist Marcus Coates in direct conversation with temporarily extracted local soil, covering topics from soil identity to health, exploitation and community. Audience members will be able to join the conversation and reflect on the role of listening and speaking on behalf of more than human entities. There will also be time to view the exhibition Edge: Where The Land Meets The Sea. The event will be followed by a shared-table feast at coquina with dishes reflecting the best in season from land and sea. Come alone or with friends and make new connections over art and food. The supper club is a communal experience, and for this reason, a maximum of four people per booking is welcome. Dietary requirements can be catered for, please specify when booking. Wil Hopson, head chef and owner of coquina, will provide Spanish-inspired and produce-led food, rooted in great ingredients and a straightforward, expressive style. Marcus Coates is an artist whose works include performances, sculptures, photography, and video installations, often testing actual and perceived boundaries with individuals, communities, and other species.
