The Citizen Kane of British pop movies is more grit than glam, but stuffed with hits!
Glam rock band Slade were at the height of their fame when they made this film. Pop stars have always made cash-in films, but most are barely-concealed biopics, cheesy rags-to-riches tales. Slade In Flame is very different.
A dark, cynical portrait of a band in freefall, pulled apart by the voracious music industry, this has more grit than glam. But is still packed with the band’s high-octane bootstompers. See national treasure Noddy Holder on the big screen, and hear those hits LOUD!
