Rautio Piano Trio: Patronage & Influence in Vienna

The Rautio Piano Trio, with special guests Hannah Deans-Williams and Steve Williams, perform a programme featuring Amy Beach and the world premiere of Jan Rautio's Akhmatova Requiem. The concert celebrates the creative voice, resilience, and power of artistic expression, bringing together the voices of two remarkable women, Amy Beach and Anna Akhmatova. The programme includes Amy Beach's Piano Trio in A minor Op. 150 and Jan Rautio's Requiem, a setting of Akhmatova's poetry for soprano, piano trio, and bass clarinet. The Rautio Piano Trio is a London-based ensemble that has performed extensively across the UK and Europe, and is currently recording the complete Beethoven piano trios on fortepiano for Resonus Classics. Hannah Deans-Williams is a London-based soprano working across Europe as a soloist and ensemble singer, specialising in contemporary music. Clarinettist Steve Williams has performed with many of the UK's leading symphony, chamber, and opera orchestras and ensembles.
