Lunatraktors is a duo that strips folk music down to the bare bones of rhythm and song. Formed in Margate in 2017, they blend tuned folk drums, body percussion, and close harmonies with harmonium, whistles, and a four-octave vocal range. Their music has been described as stunningly original traditional folk, with an intelligence and engagement that is palpable. They have been compared to Nick Cave, Leonard Cohen, and Antony and the Johnsons. Lunatraktors have released a new EP called Bonefires, which features four tracks that showcase their unique sound. Support comes from Francesca Ter-Berg.
