Introduction to Horticulture

This course is a gentle and supportive introduction to horticulture, covering the basics such as seed sowing, planting, and preparing the ground. It is designed for total beginners and is ideal for those exploring a new career path or wanting to feel more confident in their own garden. The course leads to a nationally recognised City & Guilds Level 1 Award in Practical Horticulture Skills and covers topics such as sowing seeds, planting hanging baskets, maintaining and caring for a planted area, and plant identification. Please note that topics covered are largely weather and/or time of year dependent.
