85 mins · 1981 · USA · Cert 18 · English
Sam Raimi and Bruce Campbell’s gory, no-budget, shot on 16mm, classic was one of the original 'video nasties'. It’s a now-familiar story: five high schoolers in a woodland cabin for the weekend, summon demonic forces that possess them. Unpleasant, creepy and wince-inducing. The opening salvo to a long, cult horror franchise.
Fright Night is a monthly classic horror night presented by Emily Booth and Kim Foster-Taylor. Expect a short introduction before each screening with trivia and insights.
