Fran & Flora are a multi-award nominated experimental-folk violin and cello duo. They research and reinvent traditional Eastern European Jewish melodies and songs, combining source material with improvisation and electronics. Their second album, 'Precious Collection', was released in April 2024. The duo is known for their dynamic live performances and have sold out venues worldwide, including Kings Place and Cafe Oto. They have also performed at various festivals, such as the London Jazz Festival and Fire In The Mountain. Fran & Flora's music is a unique blend of traditional and modern elements, creating a 'border-defying' aesthetic. They are returning to Margate to celebrate the release of their new album, with support from Dau.
