Cult Cinema Weekender

Every May Day bank holiday, Hastings celebrates Jack In the Green. This year, the Electric Palace is joining in for the whole weekend with a selection of folk horror and wyrd Britain classics. The festival includes screenings of Magick Hastings, Robin Redbreast, Blood on Satan's Claw, Penda's Fen, and The Wicker Man.

The sun rises on the festival with a screening of Magick Hastings, an exploration of Hastings' occult layers. The festival continues with a screening of Robin Redbreast, a rural parable, followed by Blood on Satan's Claw, a colourful cult British horror.

Penda's Fen, a 70s folk horror classic, is also part of the festival, which explores England's pagan past through the growing pains of Stephen, a vicar's son. The festival culminates with a screening of The Wicker Man, a cult classic, in both Director's Cut and Singalong form.

Come and celebrate dark rituals, the old ways, and the power of nature with these atmospheric and British films.
