The idea that community action can drive significant change in the food system is a powerful one, and it's at the heart of the Roots & Resilience screening event. The three short films showcased - Hungry for Change, Food for Thought, and One Last Farm - each offer a distinct perspective on the intersections of agriculture, food systems, climate change, and community action.

Hungry for Change and Food for Thought, both produced by Cornwall Climate Care, highlight the work of activists, policymakers, and local people in Cornwall, while One Last Farm tells the story of a unique wildlife habitat in Bristol. These films raise important questions about the future of food production and consumption, and whether regenerative farming could offer a more hopeful path forward.

On Wednesday, 9 December 2026, the Duke of York's Picturehouse in Brighton will host the Roots & Resilience event, which will include a facilitated discussion with local experts after the screening. Tickets are with the button beside the article. This special event offers a chance to explore the complex issues surrounding food systems and climate change, and to consider how individuals can contribute to a more sustainable food future.
