Discover Horticulture with RHS Level 2

On Thursday, 5 November 2026, the RHS Level 2 Certificate in the Principles of Plant Growth and Development will commence at One Garden Brighton, Brighton, and will run until Wednesday, 23 June 2027. • You'll learn about plant botany and physiology, gaining a deeper understanding of the science behind horticulture. • The course covers plant science, and plant health and nutrition, providing a comprehensive foundation for professional horticultural practices and techniques. • Through written exams throughout the year, you'll have the opportunity to gradually build your knowledge and confidence, with the qualification assessed through two externally set and marked examinations.

The Royal Horticultural Society, the UK's gardening charity, awards this Level 2 certificate, which forms one half of the RHS Level 2 Certificate in the Principles and Practices of Horticulture. With no formal prerequisites, this qualification is suitable for those entering horticulture for the first time, those already working in the field, and gardeners wanting deeper knowledge.
