Brighton Al-anon Support
Families and friends of alcoholics can find support and share experiences in a confidential setting. Al-anon provides a safe space for those affected by someone else's drinking.

People will share their experiences and listen to others in a confidential and non-judgemental environment, where they can find support and understanding from those who have gone through similar situations.
• The Brighton Friday Al-Anon group meets weekly, offering both in-person and online meetings via Zoom, to accommodate different needs and preferences. • Al-Anon is not a therapy group, and it does not offer counselling or advice, but rather a space for people to share their stories and connect with others who have been affected by someone else's drinking. • The organisation has a long history, dating back to the late 1930s in the USA, and has been operating in the UK since 1951, with over 700 self-help groups across the country and Ireland.
The Al-anon support group will be held at the Brighthelm Centre in Brighton, from Friday, 6 November 2026, to Saturday, 28 November 2026. Tickets are with the button beside the article. By attending these meetings, individuals can find a sense of community and support, and learn from the experiences of others who have been impacted by alcoholism.
