At first I wasn’t expecting much of Pressure since that one Tom Selleck tv movie of Ike D-Day except being more big budgeted. In the end it was better than I thought, Brendan Fraser is great as Eisenhower but Andrew Scott is pure phenomenal in scenes he in. One of the best thing about this movie is how they merge film footage with the real life actual landing of D-Day. If you’re a meteorologist who also a history fan, you will like this. Man…

Pressure At this point I’m starting to wonder how much more Hollywood can squeeze out of World War II. How obscure do we have to go next? The bartender who whispered into Churchill’s ear and convinced him to ally with Stalin? And yet, somehow, this one works. The story feels almost too specific to build a movie around, but the cast carries it. Andrew Scott is very good, and Brendan Fraser gives Eisenhower enough weight that you can feel the…

Fantastic movie, intensity built up until the final moment. Shows a side of D-Day not everyone would have known about. Great cast and acting!

A fascinating film. Who could know just how critical the weather would be in the D Day landings. 👍 The tension keeps you on the edge of your seat... Is Group Captain Stag right or wrong? What a weight of responsibility for Stag and his meteorologists! Well worth a watch. 👍

A story about weather forecasting on D-Day does not sound like an interesting one, and yet that is exactly what Pressure is. Strong performances across the board and the weight of impossible decisions turn this into an effective chamber drama. While the film occasionally simplifies complex events and leans into dramatic confrontation, those choices rarely undermine its effectiveness. It may be a small-scale film, but the tension and significance…
