Discover The Bible's Lost Album
The Bible's unreleased third album, Anticlockwise, is finally seeing the light of day, and the band is set to perform it at Resident Music in Brighton. This is a unique opportunity to experience a lost piece of music history.

The Bible's story began in Cambridge in 1985, when former Great Divide frontman Boo Hewerdine teamed up with keyboard player and drummer Tony Shepherd. They were later joined by other musicians, including Kevin Flanagan, Clive Lawson, Dave Larcombe, and Neill MacColl, to form a band that would go on to create intelligent, acoustic pop music.
Their debut album, Walking the Ghost Back Home, was released independently in 1986 and became a top-ten hit on the UK Independent Chart. The band's second album, Eureka, produced by Steve Earle, was well received by critics but didn't quite match the commercial success of their debut. Despite this, The Bible was gaining momentum, with a re-recorded version of Graceland reaching number 51 in the UK singles chart in 1989.
The Bible is known for their blend of intelligent songwriting, acoustic sensibilities, and top-notch musicianship. Their music is a unique blend of pop and acoustic elements, with thoughtful lyrics and soaring melodies. On Friday, 27 November 2026, at Resident Music in Brighton, The Bible will be performing their previously unreleased album Anticlockwise. Tickets are with the button beside the article.
