Gulbenkian Arts Centre (Canterbury)
What makes a Christmas show truly special? For the Albion Christmas Band, it's the combination of seasonal songs, carols, and storytelling that has been perfected over 27 years of touring. This year, the band returns to the Gulbenkian Arts Centre in Canterbury on Saturday, 19 December 2026, with a show that blends warmth, humour, and winter magic.
At the heart of the band is the extraordinary voice of Kellie While, whose powerful expression and intimacy bring a unique quality to every performance. The current line-up has its roots in The Albion Band, founded over 50 years ago by Ashley Hutchings MBE, a legendary figure in the folk music scene.
Although Ashley Hutchings will not be touring with the band this year, his musical legacy remains at the heart of the show. The Albion Christmas Band draws on a rich musical heritage, with connections to respected names in folk such as Simon Nicol and Simon Care. Tickets are with the button beside the article.
