Hastings Art Club

Are you wondering how to encourage your child's artistic talents? Hastings Contemporary is launching an After School Art Club, specifically designed for children aged 5-7, which may be just the thing. This five-week programme, running from Wednesday, 4 November 2026, to Wednesday, 2 December 2026, will take place at Hastings Contemporary in Hastings, and tickets are available with the button beside this article.

The club, led by local artist Sara Melin, will draw inspiration from the gallery's current exhibitions and the coastal location, offering a unique and engaging experience for young participants. With a focus on experimentation and creativity, children will have the opportunity to explore various art forms and techniques, from painting and sculpture to printing and more.

Sara Melin, a Swedish-born artist and art teacher, brings a wealth of experience to the programme, having co-founded The Poundshop and worked as a workshop facilitator at Hastings Museum and Art Gallery. Her expertise and passion for art education will provide a supportive and stimulating environment for children to express themselves and develop their artistic skills.
