Hadda Be Comes to Margate

Melancholic indie-pop and angular post-punk sounds are set to fill the air as Hadda Be prepares to perform at the Kent Pop Exchange event.

What is Hadda Be's background? Hadda Be was formed in 2018 as Foundlings by members from South London and Brighton, and later renamed in 2020 after an Allen Ginsberg poem, following a US trademark dispute. The band's current line-up includes vocalist Amber Price, bassist Dan Trolley, drummer Olly Wareham, and guitarist Jago Furnas.

What kind of music can we expect from Hadda Be? Hadda Be's music is a blend of post-punk and melodic indie, with a sound that is both heavy and energetic. Their debut album, Another Life, was released in 2021 and drew on 90s indie-rock influences from The Pixies to Nirvana. Their later singles, such as 'Mercurial' and 'New to the Office', have introduced a darker and more incisive sound.

What's next for Hadda Be? The band has been touring extensively and has shared stages with notable bands such as Miki Berenyi, Dream Nails, and Crows. They have also been working on their second album, which is set to be released in 2026. Catch Hadda Be live at Where Else? in Margate on Sunday, 1 November 2026.
