Free Social Club In Whitstable

People will have the chance to enjoy a chat and a cuppa at The Fisher Social Club, a peer-led group that meets weekly at the Whitstable Umbrella Community Support centre. The group, which runs from 1-3pm on Mondays, is free to attend and does not require booking. It provides a social space for people to connect with others in the Whitstable and surrounding areas.

The Whitstable Umbrella Community Support centre, where the group is held, is a charity that has been based in St Mary's Hall on Oxford Street for around 30 years. The centre is run by a group of trustees, with one full-time and one part-time member of staff, and is largely self-funded through room hire and occasional grant support. It describes itself as a social hub where people can learn new skills, keep fit, access support, and make new friends.

The Fisher Social Club will run from Monday, 2 November 2026, until Monday, 30 November 2026, at the Whitstable Umbrella Community Support centre in Whitstable. Tickets are with the button beside the article. The centre's focus on mental health, wellbeing, and social inclusion makes it an ideal venue for this type of social group, and its accessible main hall and smaller rooms provide a welcoming space for people to meet and connect.
