Faith In Strangers (Margate)

Sigma's debut album Life, released in 2015, debuted at number 28 on the UK Albums Chart, showcasing the duo's ability to craft infectious and energetic drum and bass tracks. However, it was their single Nobody to Love, a rework of Kanye West's Bound 2, that topped the UK Singles Chart and became their first UK number one. This success was followed by Changing, featuring Paloma Faith, which became their second consecutive UK number one in September 2014. The duo's subsequent albums, Hope and Day One, have further solidified their position in the drum and bass scene.

Cameron James Edwards and Joseph Aluin Lenzie, the duo behind Sigma, met at Leeds University in 2006 at drum and bass nights. They formed as a trio with Ben Mauerhoff and were signed under DJ Fresh's Breakbeat Kaos. Although they originated from Harpenden, England, their time at Leeds University played a significant role in shaping their sound. The duo's music often features collaborations with notable artists, and their latest project, COUNTRY GREAZE, is no exception. This album features guest vocalists and artists including Soul II Soul, Professor Green, Danny Byrd, Kurupt FM, and Basslayerz.

The tracklist for COUNTRY GREAZE boasts 12 songs, including NEED U NOW, BACK 2 LIFE, WATCHIN' U, and LEGENDARY STATUS. This album draws on garage, jungle, and grime influences, making it a unique and exciting addition to Sigma's discography. With their official website describing them as a drum and bass group, it is clear that Sigma is committed to pushing the boundaries of this genre. Their music has been featured in various video games, including Forza Horizon and Dirt 4, and they have been nominated for Best Bass DJ at the DJ Awards in 2015, 2016, and 2017.

Sigma will be performing at Faith In Strangers in Margate on Saturday, 21 November 2026. Tickets are with the button beside the article. With their latest album, COUNTRY GREAZE, released on 13 November 2026, this performance is set to be an exciting showcase of their new material. Sigma's ability to blend different genres and create energetic and infectious tracks makes them a compelling act to see live. Their music, which has been tagged as drum and bass, liquid funk, and electronic on Last.fm, has garnered a significant following, with about 672,600 listeners and 8.4 million scrobbles.
