Shabaka Hutchings, a British jazz musician and composer, has been making waves in the music scene with his eclectic sound, but few know about his visual art. On Sunday, 1 November 2026, his artwork will be on display at the Super Cool Drawing Machine exhibition at Where Else? in Margate. This touring exhibition, presented by Yuppies Music, features a diverse range of visual creations by international touring musicians from various genres, including alternative, experimental, jazz, folk, rock, soul, ambient, and indie backgrounds.

The exhibition includes works by notable musicians such as Cate Le Bon, Richard Dawson, Lonnie Holley, and members of This Is The Kit, Mammal Hands, Haiku Salut, and Snapped Ankles. The displayed works encompass a wide range of mediums, including paintings, photography, drawings, ceramics, digital installations, recycled arts, sculpture, and furniture. With a gift shop also available, visitors can take a piece of the exhibition home with them.

Shabaka Hutchings' background is as diverse as his music, having grown up partly in Barbados and trained in classical clarinet at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
