Are you ready to board a train that will take you on a journey through the 19th century? The Fleur de Lis Classical Theatre Company is presenting A Train to Woking, a dramatic comedy that explores the London Necropolis Railway and its role in transporting the deceased from Waterloo to Brookwood. This production transforms an important piece of history into a catalyst for conversations about mortality and the legacies we leave behind.

Through a blend of storytelling and physical theatre, the company brings to life the story of London's overcrowded graveyards and the need for a solution to accommodate the high rate of fatality. The production is supported by South Western Railway, Brookwood Cemetery, and The Woking & Sam Beare Hospice, and features a talented cast, including Christian Reid, Megan Barnes-Rolf, and Caroline Lawrie.

The show is directed by Christian Reid, with Megan Barnes-Rolf as producer, and features a range of visually spectacular skills, including physical theatre and movement direction by Susie Coutts. The production runs for 75 minutes with no interval, and includes trigger warnings for flashing lights. On Monday, 23 November 2026, A Train to Woking will arrive at the Theatre Royal Brighton in Brighton, where it will run until Saturday, 5 December 2026.
