This film absolutely sucked. This felt like a generic zombie film with raccoon city and umbrella name dropped in. Some moments had funny one liners but overall this felt all over the place with it jumping from location to location.

Finally, a Resident Evil movie that actually understands what makes the games work. Instead of simply adapting one of the games or bringing back familiar characters, this tells a completely new story set in Raccoon City, running parallel to the events of the games. And surprisingly, that works really well. It feels faithful to the games without being a direct copy of them. The movie captures the feeling of playing Resident Evil: something is…

Pretty bland movie. It doesn't know what leg to stand on and is very predictable. Is it horror, is it a thriller or is it comedy? I don't know, it's not good enough in any of these categories to qualify. The horror only consist of a few jump scares with a total disregard of tension. It just never builds, a big fail. Audio mixing was really horrible, the worst point of the movie. I really hope it was the cinema who had calibrated poorly because…

Resident Evil Dead A change of direction after the increasingly embarrassing action entries of the past, this one pulls things back toward something leaner and meaner. It shares a clear DNA with Barbarian and the early Evil Dead films in its blend of dark humour and gross-out set pieces, with body-horror that aims for laughs and revulsion. It was hamstrung for me as the humour didn't click and mostly just wasn't funny to me, which left the film…

At last, a good Resident Evil film. Can't believe it took eight tries and a TV show. 2026 Resident Evil is 90 minutes of pure, bloody mayhem, once again. The film stays in motion and never gets dull. The set pieces grow increasingly wild. It offers a great blend of horror and humor that occasionally brings to mind The Thing and Evil Dead 2. I understand some people had concerns about the comedy, but I believe it effectively keeps the film from…
