MyCharleston Dance Course

The Charleston, an upbeat and playful dance from the 1920s, is making a comeback in Brighton, thanks to MyCharleston, a Hove-based adult dance school. MyCharleston specialises in teaching 20s Charleston, Musical Theatre, and Charleston partner dancing, and its classes are designed to be fun, friendly, and accessible to all levels. The group's teachers, including Elena and Fiona, are praised by students for their clarity, patience, and style.

MyCharleston's six-week course at The Dance Space in Brighton will guide students through the iconic moves of the Charleston era, teaching a fun routine that can be practiced at home with the help of pre-recorded tutorial videos. The course includes a recording of each online Zoom lesson, and the option to join the Zoom lesson live if a session is missed. With its flexible and supportive approach, MyCharleston makes it easy for adults to learn and enjoy this classic dance style.

The MyCharleston course will take place at South East Dance at The Dance Space in Brighton, starting on Monday, 2 November 2026, and running until Monday, 7 December 2026.
