Cut Out Fun

Are you looking for a creative way to get into the holiday spirit? The Eric Ravilious: Linocut Christmas Cards Workshop at the Towner in Eastbourne on Friday, 6 November 2026, might be just the thing, offering a chance to combine a visit to the Towner Christmas Fair with a hands-on crafting session.

What kind of activities can participants expect to do during the workshop? They will explore Eric Ravilious's distinctive use of dots, dashes, and lines, and have the opportunity to create one or two linocut designs, experiment with printing them in different colours, and use their own designs to create handmade Christmas cards and potentially even wrapping paper.

Who will be leading the workshop and what experience do they have? The workshop will be taught by Zara Wilkins, an artist with over three years' experience teaching art to beginner adults, who will guide participants throughout the session, teaching the basics of linocut printing and helping them develop their own designs.

How can people attend this workshop and what is included? Tickets are with the button beside the article, and the session, which runs from 12.00pm to 4.00pm, includes all materials, hot drinks during a break, and the opportunity to take home finished cards, wrapping paper, and lino designs.
