Margate Welcomes TEZ

TEZ's story began in 2023 when schoolmates Owen Mellett, Joe Martin, and Dan Hughes turned Owen's bedroom project into a full-fledged band. This trio from Margate has been making waves in the music scene with their unique sound, which draws inspiration from neo-psychedelia, ambient, and indie rock. Their music is a heartfelt exploration of life's experiences, with a sound that radiates summer vibes, personal growth, and a zest for life.

With a growing discography, TEZ has gained widespread media support and has performed at various gigs, including a debut in the Swiss Alps and sell-out headline shows across the UK and EU. Their EPs, such as The New Era and Gloria Runs The Shop, were produced by Ian Flynn and funded through a crowdfunding campaign supported by the charity Help Musicians. The band's new EP Blue Mind was released on 10 April, followed by a spring and summer 2026 UK tour.

TEZ will be performing at Where Else? in Margate on Friday, 6 November 2026. Tickets are with the button beside the article. With their sound combining driving rhythms and cascading, aqueous instrumentation, TEZ's music is sure to captivate audiences. Their songs deal with growing up, losing your way, and finding your footing again, making their sound incredibly relatable and authentic.
