Where Else? 7th birthday took place 1 Nov 2026 at Where Else? (Margate).
Where Else? has been a beacon of hope and creativity in Margate, continuing to thrive despite the global pandemic, recession, and austerity. To celebrate its 7th birthday, the venue is hosting an evening of live performances, featuring absurdist dance poetry duo Big Woes, improv experimentalists KOMMUNE, and songwriter NiCKY. The night will begin with a warm-up acid house ceilidh, followed by DJ sets from Margate heroes Ada AKA Shirley Ottou, Charlie Evaristo-Boyce, and Lu Kirnon.
The performers bring a unique blend of talents to the stage, with Big Woes' absurdist dance poetry and KOMMUNE's improv experimentalism promising an unpredictable and engaging show. NiCKY, taking a break from a Prah Studios residency, will perform intimate piano songs, adding an emotional depth to the evening.
Where Else? has established itself as a grassroots music venue, bar, and community art space, championing new and emerging local and international talent since 2018.
