Benefits took place 2 Nov 2026 at Where Else? (Margate).
On Monday, 2 November 2026, Benefits will perform at Where Else? in Margate. The group, consisting of Kingsley Hall on vocals and Robbie Major on synths and noise, has been gaining attention for their intense live performances and critically acclaimed music.
Benefits formed in 2019 in Teesside, England, with the goal of merging different genres to convey their message. Their debut album "NAILS" was released in 2023 to critical acclaim, with numerous album of the year nods from publications such as Louder Than War and BBC 6 Music. The band's sound is characterized by Kingsley Hall's spoken-word vocals, harsh noise, and electronic textures, drawing comparisons to post-punk acts like IDLES and Sleaford Mods.
The band's history is marked by a shift from guitar punk to harsh noise during lockdown, and they were signed to Invada Records after Geoff Barrow of Portishead saw them live. With a second album, "Constant Noise", released in 2025, Benefits continues to push the boundaries of their sound, incorporating more electronic and dance-influenced elements.
