Join Margate's Social Singing Choir

On Friday, 6 November 2026, Margate's Social Singing Choir will be at Where Else? in Margate, hosting a Margate Pride Fundraiser with a joyful night of anthemic singing. The event will feature singalong moments with the choir harmonising, including Pride numbers from well-known artists.

Margate's Social Singing Choir was formed in 2017 as a non-audition community choir, led by Emmy-nominated composer and vocal coach Hughie Gavin. The choir aims to provide a community space for people to sing awesome songs together and have a good time, with no previous experience necessary.

The choir's music is a lively mix of great songs, often with a focus on supporting local charities. They have performed at various events, including the opening of the Turner Prize and supporting Self Esteem at the Power of Women festival.

To attend the Choir-oke Anthems event, tickets are on sale with the button beside the article. The night will include DJs, a raffle, and a prize for the best outfit, making for a fun and engaging experience.
