Famyne Bring Doom to Margate
Get set for a heavy night of doom and stoner metal with Famyne and Old Horn Tooth. Famyne's unique blend of genres is set to shake Margate's Where Else? venue.

Famyne's music is a complex mix of doom, stoner, hard rock, heavy metal, psychedelia, prog, and grunge, creating a unique sound that is both hypnotic and energetic. The band, formed in Canterbury in 2014, has been steadily building a reputation for their live performances, which combine monumental grinding riffs with layered vocal harmonies.
The band's history is marked by notable achievements, including winning the Metal 2 the Masses competition in Kent in 2016 and signing to Svart Records in 2019. Their second album, II: The Ground Below, released in 2022, drew strong reviews from critics, with Metal Temple praising it as a strong doom album that stays true to the genre's roots while exploring new territory.
Famyne's sound is characterized by melodic vocal styles, with echoes of Alice in Chains and The Wounded Kings, and grandeur reminiscent of Candlemass. With a third full-length album in the works, the band is set to continue developing their style while staying rooted in doom.
On Friday, 30 October 2026, Famyne will be performing at Where Else? in Margate, alongside Old Horn Tooth. Tickets are with the button beside the article.
